SMECEYI Final Event (Swiss-Middle East Circular Economy for Youth Initiative)
Swissnex at the Swiss Pavilion has launched in March 2021 the Swiss – Middle East Circular Economy for Youth Initiative (SMECEYI). This initiative aims towards bringing together students from universities across the Middle East to develop unique and innovative solutions to tackle waste management, promoting the circular economy and encouraging youth empowerment. 6 teams are now working together with Swiss students and professors to develop real-life projects ready for implementation.
The finalists will be hosted at the Swiss Pavilion during this focus week and their projects exhibited. Their solutions shall be celebrated as the fruit of Swiss-Middle East collaborations in science and technology. The winner will be selected on 4th November 2021 during our final event.
Nestlé is providing support to this initiative, as its commitments tackle both protecting the environment and empowering youth. Nestlé is offering training sessions focused on technical, management, and soft skills:
