Swiss Pavilion construction’s kickoff

Dubai, 12 june 2019 – A delegation led by Secretary General of Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) Markus Seiler kicks off Swiss Pavilion construction.

Expo 2020 Dubai’s Swiss pavilion, also known as ‘Reflections’, is located within the Opportunity District of the World Expo site.

The Swiss pavilion has been designed by Zurich-based architect OOS, in collaboration with Bellprat Partner and Lorenz Eugster. Half of the project’s total cost will be funded by third parties.

The Swiss Pavilion will draw on the temporary structures of bedouin tents, and imbibe sustainable construction practices through scaffolding elements and textiles. The Swiss Pavilion invites visitors to wander in Switzerland a land of bucolic splendour and at the same a hub of innovation.

The innovations that emanate from Switzerland will also feature prominently. The pavilion will host a number of temporary exhibitions that turn the spotlight on Swiss innovation and the products and services of private-sector partners.
